Hazel and Miles get married at The Old Lodge Hotel, Malton

June 3, 2010

We had a fantastic day at The Old Lodge Hotel, Malton for the wedding of Miles and Hazel. After photos at home with Hazel, her parents, her 3 children bridesmaid Abi, pageboys Billy and Isaac together with her other lovely bridesmaid Emma we waited for the fantastic Rolls Royce to take Hazel to the hotel.  It was the same car that I had when I got married almost 10 years ago!!!  Time flies!  So, it brought back happy memories.  After a lovely intimate ceremony in which Miles was unable to take his eyes off his lovely bride, we spent the remainder of the afternoon in the sunny gardens of the hotel.  The garden looked fantastic and we were lucky enough to have daffodils, tulips and bluebells all still out.  Anyway, you can see for yourself a selection of photos taken on the day.

A Real Farming Wedding

May 17, 2010

The village of Brompton by Sawdon near Scarborough was buzzing with excitement at its yearly wedding extravaganza.  Richard Clifford and Laura Wilson were the happy couple.  Laura arrived with her (God Father) Uncle Chris in a horse and carriage whilst her 6 bridesmaid’s and 1 flower girl arrived on a trailer attached to a tractor!  Not to be outdone, Richard was waiting at the church with his best man Paul and 4 ushers.  Laura looked gorgeous in her strapless dress from Perfect Day Bridal in Malton carrying her bouquet of freesias from Kim Queen at Castle Howard.

Despite the wind and cold weather everyone had a fabulous day including the herd of cows who watched the arrival and departure of the guests with avid interest.  After a lovely service  in the local church, the couple departed through a cloud of confetti to their awaiting carriage.

On arrival at the reception which was held in a very spruced up barn on a nearby farm the couple posed for a series of photographs.  Laura at one point donned her matching lilac wellies for some photos in a nearby field.

I have to say that Laura and Richard are a really great couple.  They laughed and smiled throughout the whole day and photographing them was really easy to do.  I wish them all the very best for a long and happy future together.

Here are some of the highlights from the day.

Simon and Beckie get married.

April 28, 2010

I can’t believe how good the weather was for Simon and Beckie Worley’s wedding recently at St.John’s church in Dalton near Thirsk.  It was exceptional wedding weather for this time of year and indeed a memorable day.  Simon and Beckie are the first Paramedics I have ever photographed.  They met in the Ambulance Control Room in York.  Even the Vicar admitted that she had never felt in safer company than on that particular day.

Beckie looked fabulous in her ivory strapless dress from Confetti in Rillington. Simon looked very dashing in his suit, although I think he was tempted to arrive in his Batman costume!!!   The bridesmaids looked amazing.  I think little Amy had the most amazing smile on her face all day.  Her Mum must be so proud.  She looked adorable.

Here is a selection of photographs from the day.

The reception was held at The Forest and Vale Hotel and the car was provided by my good friends Brooklands Vintage Wedding Cars (www.brooklands-vintage-wedding-cars.co.uk)
