A Real Farming Wedding

The village of Brompton by Sawdon near Scarborough was buzzing with excitement at its yearly wedding extravaganza.  Richard Clifford and Laura Wilson were the happy couple.  Laura arrived with her (God Father) Uncle Chris in a horse and carriage whilst her 6 bridesmaid’s and 1 flower girl arrived on a trailer attached to a tractor!  Not to be outdone, Richard was waiting at the church with his best man Paul and 4 ushers.  Laura looked gorgeous in her strapless dress from Perfect Day Bridal in Malton carrying her bouquet of freesias from Kim Queen at Castle Howard.

Despite the wind and cold weather everyone had a fabulous day including the herd of cows who watched the arrival and departure of the guests with avid interest.  After a lovely service  in the local church, the couple departed through a cloud of confetti to their awaiting carriage.

On arrival at the reception which was held in a very spruced up barn on a nearby farm the couple posed for a series of photographs.  Laura at one point donned her matching lilac wellies for some photos in a nearby field.

I have to say that Laura and Richard are a really great couple.  They laughed and smiled throughout the whole day and photographing them was really easy to do.  I wish them all the very best for a long and happy future together.

Here are some of the highlights from the day.
